Since its introduction in 1963, the groundbreaking Porsche 911 has captivated generations of sports car enthusiasts. Throughout the years, Porsche has released various models of the 911, including the victorious 911 GT1 at Le Mans in 1998. In 1999, the water-cooled flat-six engine from that iconic masterpiece found its way into the Porsche 911 GT3. Developed by Porsche's engineers in Weissach, this machine was designed to deliver exceptional agility and handling while prioritizing active safety. With an astonishing acceleration of 0 to 100km/h in just 4.8 seconds and a top speed of 302km/h, the GT3 set a new production car record by completing a lap on the Nürburgring's northern circuit in a mere 7.56 minutes. While the GT3 maintains the recognizable exterior appearance of its predecessors, it features a redesigned rear end, subtle side-sills, a fixed rear wing, striking red brake calipers, and sporty 18-inch light-alloy wheels. Compared to the 911 Carrera, the GT3 boasts larger and sturdier four-piston aluminum fixed monobloc brake calipers that firmly grip the perforated brake discs. Inside the GT3's cockpit, you'll find leather-covered bucket seats that not only provide ample side support but also ensure comfort during long journeys, all while reducing weight by approximately 20kg. Additionally, the rear-seat section has been eliminated, further reducing the GT3's weight by an additional 8kg, a significant advantage for a sports car of this caliber.
