Milliput Standard Grey-Yellow Two Part Epoxy Putty
Milliput is a versatile product that can be used for a variety of applications including scratch building, sculpting, repairing, gap filling, pattern making, and customizing. It is particularly well-suited for military miniatures, railway, farm, ship model parts, dollhouse accessories, and plastic models.
It is also suitable for repairs, modeling, and sculpting in different contexts. Milliput can be used as a reliable gap filler for car bodies, plumbing projects, as well as for repairs in caravans and boats. It can provide temporary fixes for car petrol tanks, batteries, radiators, and exhausts.
Key Features of Milliput:
- Self-hardening
- Non-shrinking
- Tough and durable
- Highly adhesive to most materials
- Resistant to water and chemicals
- Sets underwater and is electrically resistant
- Molds like putty and sets to a rock-hard finish
The Standard yellow grey putty dries to a yellow/grey (pale green) color and can be painted.
When using Milliput, it is essential to mix the two parts for a minimum of five minutes. Take equal portions from each stick in the pack and knead and roll them in your hands for at least five minutes. Continue until the colors blend together uniformly without any streaks. Mix for an additional minute. The surfaces where you apply the putty should be free from grease and dirt. Smooth surfaces can be cleaned using an appropriate solvent or with soap and warm water to remove any dirt or grease. Abrading the surface will enhance adhesion. Apply the putty, and it will harden within three to four hours without shrinking.
After the initial hardening, Milliput continues to cure and reaches full hardness after more than five hours. Once fully cured, it can be machined, drilled, tapped, turned, filed, sawn, sanded with sandpaper, and painted. Sanding and painting can be performed immediately after the putty has set.
